× Making a World Cartogram
A cartogram is a map in which the geometry of regions is distorted in order to convey the information of an alternate variable such as population. The region area will be inflated or deflated according to its numeric value - Radius: Reduce the hexagonal radius for higher resolution and increase it for faster load time.
- Year: Choose a year between 1950 and 2100; the population cartogram is scaled from the year 2018.
- Download: Supported file types are SVG and GeoJSON; the geojson may not follow the right-hand rule.
- Add/Remove cells: Double-click to add, remove or replace hexagonal cells and use the color palette to change colors.
- Drag and Drop: Move cells across the point-top hex-grid
